Kontron coolMONSTER PISA Single Board Computer - Intel Pentium III/Celeron, AGP, 4xCOM, Sound, Ethernet Simple Type: CPU Board
The coolMONSTER is an "all in one" Intel Pentium III based slot PC with consistent low power design. Despite the very compact half size format it's possible to integrate the PISA (PISA=PCI+ISA) bus and a full featured set of interfaces. Beside all standard interfaces (four serial ports, one as RS232 or RS485, EPP/ECP parallel port, fl oppy, EIDE, USB and IRDA port) a Soundblaster compatible sound chip and a high speed AGP video controller (ATI RAGE MOBILIBTY) is available. It can operate CRT monitors and LCD fl at panels in parallel even with different screen content. Flat panel displays with highest resolutions can be connected via the dual LVDS easily. Up to 8 MByte of video memory are already on chip at the graphic controller. Two EIDE ports, one with 40-pin connector, the other with 44-pin 2 mm connector, are available to support various mass storage devices. The JUMPtec chipDISK an IDE compatible flash disk up to 256 MByte, can be attached and mechanically fixed directly to this connector. Additionally the coolMONSTER is equipped with a switchable Ethernet 10/100Base-T interface (Twisted Pair). For highest reliability an intelligent watchdog timer and a system monitoring to control temperature and fans are integrated.
